neoNuma Arts is partnering with Barnes & Noble Booksellers store 2625 (5000 Westheimer, Houston, TX) to create The Houston Writers Festival. This event will take place on Saturday, November 17 and will be an all day event full of author signings and readings. Featured guest is Houston poet Larry D. Thomas, 2008 Poet Laureate for the State of Texas ( http://larrydthomas.com/ ).

Readings are scheduled as following:

11:30am-1:30pm: Poetry Reading, Featuring Larry D. Thomas

5:30-7:30pm: Prose Reading, Featuring Katherine Center, author of The Bright Side of Disaster

Both readings will take place at Canyon Cafe, in the same shopping center as B&N. Audience members at the readings will please order a meal from Canyon Cafe's delicious menu.

A children's book reading will take place in store at 2:00pm, in the store's Children's Department.
